Services to citizen Improve the transparency and accountability of the police force

Modernize the accountability and transparency processes of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) with four to six public safety committee meetings per year, as is already done in the cities of Toronto and Vancouver. Delegate to the city council the power to declare an emergency meeting if the mayor or the executive committee fails to act. The SPVM, the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal and the Direction de la sécurité civile will be held accountable to the public by answering questions from the public and elected officials and by holding consultations
